Ribosomes are a critical part of the cell and do jobs such as generating proteins necessary for a cell's survival. But along with their importance, they are also linked to multiple health issues in humans. Mutations in ribosome-produced proteins are linked to bone marrow failure as well as anemia and an increased risk in developing some types of cancer. Evidently, these issues are far too major to overlook and the cons outweigh the pros when considering voting for the ribosome.
